This site will serve as a hub for everything related to my participation in the 2025 Mapping Freedom NSF-REU program at the University of Southern Mississippi. I will maintain a weekly blog of my progress throughout the program and upload pieces of my individual research project along the way. ​​
Mapping FreedoM
Mapping Freedom is an eight-week digital humanities NSF-REU program focused on the American Civil War and Reconstruction period. Individual research projects are based on transcribed and digitized letters from the Civil War & Reconstruction Governors of Mississippi project. The program is jointly funded by Research Experiences for Undergraduates Sites, the Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR), and Human-Centered Computing.
